The European Association of Cooperative Banks (EACB) defends the professional interests of more than 30 cooperative banking organizations on a European scale. The Groupement was founded in 1970. It is one of the main associations in the European credit industry and is officially recognized as the representative body of the European cooperative banking sector by the European Union institutions and European Central Bank.
